Hubballi Celebrates Return of Ram Lalla with Deepavali-like Festivities
Hubballi, Karnataka: In a unique display of devotion, thousands of residents in Hubballi illuminated their homes, streets, and circles with lamps on Monday evening, not to celebrate Deepavali, but to mark the joyous occasion of Ram Lalla’s return to Ayodhya.
The city, usually bustling with Ganesh Chaturthi and Deepavali preparations in August and October, respectively, witnessed an unseasonal festive fervor as residents embraced the spirit of the occasion. Rangoli adorned doorways, lamps twinkled in the twilight, and the air vibrated with the chanting of “Ram Naam”, and busting crackers.
The celebrations commenced with a grand Maha Mangalarthi in the evening, followed by residents lighting lamps not just outside their homes, but also on major streets and traffic circles, transforming the city into a glowing embroidery of devotion. The joyous sounds of firecrackers mingled with the chants and prayers, creating an atmosphere of jubilation.
To cap off the evening, residents organized Annadanam, the traditional practice of serving food to the community, further solidifying the spirit of unity and celebration.
